Ingredients
- Boiled Potatoes – 3 big pcs
- Desi Ghee – 2-3 tbsps
- Granulated Sugar – 1/2 cup
- Cardamom Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Nuts of Choice (Alomonds, Raisins) – 1 tsp
- Kesar or Yellow Food Colour – a pinch (optional)
Instruction
Step 1: Grate boiled potatoes with fine grater.
Step 2: Heat desi ghee in a non stick kadai, add in grated potatoes and saute on low medium flame for few minutes till ghee separates from halwa. Let the halwa turn little brown.
Step 3: Once the ghee separates then add sugar along with cardamom powder, dry fruits, food colour and mix well till sugar dissolves.
Step 4: Aloo halwa is ready, garnish with chopped dry fruits and serve.
