EASY ATTA HALWA

INGREDIENTS

  • Wheat Flour / Atta – 1 cup
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Cardamom Powder – 1 tsp
  • Ghee – ½ cup + 4 tblspn
  • Raisans as needed
  • Cashews as needed

Instruction

Step 1: Heat ½ cup ghee in a kadai. Add in nuts and raisin and fry till golden. Drain and set aside.

Step 2: In the same pan, add in wheat flour and roast on low flame for a good 5 to 6 mins till the raw smell leaves away.

Step 3: Now add in water and keep mixing.

Step 4: Now add in sugar and mix well. Cook this by keep stirring it.

Step 5: After 5 mins or so, if you see the halwa sticky, add ghee tbsp at a time and keep mixing.

Step 6: I added around 4 tblspn more ghee to make it glossy and non sticky.

Step 7: Now add in cardamom powder and fried nuts.

Step 8: Mix well and serve.
