Almond Halwa

Ingredients:

  • Almond- 3/4 cup
  • Milk-1 cup
  • Sugar- 1/2 cup
  • Ghee-2 tbsp
  • Saffron-few

Instruction

Step 1: Soak the almond in water for overnight.

Step 2: Next day; drain it and peel it’s skin.

Step 3: Add the peeled almonds in to a blender along with 1/2 cup of milk.

Step 4: Blend smooth (tiny granules are OK).

Step 5: Soak saffron in 1/4 cup of hot milk. Keep aside.

Step 6: Heat a non-stick pan with 1 tbsp of ghee.

Step 7: Add pureed almond and saute on low flame for 5 minutes.

Step 8: Add sugar and mix well.  Stir for another 5 minutes.

Step 9: Add saffron soaked milk and remaining 1/4 cup of milk.

Step 10: Cook the halwa by stirring well until thickens.

Step 11: When it thickens; add remaining a tablespoon of ghee and mix well.

Step 12: Turn off heat; when halwa leaves from the sides of the pan.

Step 13: Serve warm or chilled and enjoy the delicious halwa!!
