Ingredients
- Milk powder – 2 cups
- Coconut powder – 2 cups
- Milk – 1 cup
- Crushed sugar – 1 cup
- Cardamom powder – 1/4th teaspoon
- Chopped pistas – 2 tablespoons
- Unsalted butter or ghee – 1 tablespoon
Instructions
Step 1: Heat butter in a pan and add milk to it on a lower flame.
Step 2: Add milk powder to it and stir continuously.
Step 3: When the above mixture starts thickening, add coconut powder, cardamom powder and sugar to it and mix well.
Step 4: Cook the mixture until it gets non-sticky and becomes thicker.
Step 5: When mixture leaves the pan, switch off the gas. Meanwhile place a butter paper on a tin/ flat plate.
Step 6: Pour the barfi mixture on the plate and press with the help of a spoon.
Step 7: Add chopped pista pieces for garnishing and refrigerate the sweet for 2 hours.
Step 8: Once the refrigeration is done, cut the barfi into square pieces.
Step 9: Delicious coconut burfi with milk powder is ready to be served.
