Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- ½ cup Red onion chopped
- Salt – to taste
- 1 teaspoon Ginger paste or freshly grated or crushed
- 1 teaspoon Garlic paste or freshly grated
- 3 cups Broccoli separated into bite sized florets
- 1 cup Capsicum (Green bell pepper) chopped, red or green
- 1 ½ teaspoons Red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
- ½ teaspoon Garam masala
- 2 teaspoons Kasoori methi (Dried fenugreek leaves)
Instructions
Step 1: Heat the oil in a pan on medium heat.
Step 2: Once hot add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
Step 3 Then add onion and sprinkle some salt. Cook till onions get soft and translucent or light pink in color.
Step 4: Now add ginger paste and garlic paste. Mix and saute for a minute.
Step 5: Now add broccoli florets and capsicum. Mix well.
Step 6: Also add red chili powder, coriander powder and remaining salt. Mix very well, so all the masala is coated to the veggies.
Step 7: Cover the pan and cook till broccoli is cooked (not soft, mushy but slightly crunchy).
Step 8: Do stir once or twice during the cooking.
Step 9: Lastly add garam masala and kasoori methi. Stir well.
Step 10: Turn off the stove.
